11 Months Old

Isabel was 11 months old on July 6th, 2010.

In the past month Isabel:
~ Did the sign for "more" (on June 7th) - she wanted more mozzarella cheese
~ Stood by herself for a few seconds (on June 7th)
~ Waved to mommy (on June 9th)
~ Got her 8th tooth (on June 15th - it was on the bottom of her left side to the left of her middle teeth)
~ Gave her first kiss, it was to mommy (on July 6th)

10 Months Old

Isabel was 10 months old on June 6th, 2010.

 

 

In the past month Isabel:

-Did the sign language sign for "doggy" (on May 24th)

-Did the sign language sign for "all done" (on June 2nd)

-Has started "cruising" - walking while holding on to furniture

8 Months Old

Once again, I am very behind on posting these pictures.
(I'm not sure how these posts got out of order and I can't figure out how to fix it without deleting and re-doing the entire post.)

Isabel was 8 months old on April 6th, 2010.

 

9 Months Old

Isabel was 9 months old on May 6th, 2010.

 

By the time Isabel was 9 months old:

-She sat up unattended (on April 9th)

-She pulled up to standing in her crib, but couldn't get back down (on April 14th)

-She had her first finger food, Rice Crispies, she loved feeding herself (on April 17th)

-Her 3rd tooth came in, it was the top tooth to the left of the center (on April 18th)

-She started crawling (April 19th)

-Her 4th tooth came in, it was the top middle tooth on the left (April 21st)

-Her 5th tooth came in, it was the top middle tooth on the right (April 30th)

-Her 6th tooth came in, it was the top tooth to the right of the center (May 2nd)

-Her 7th tooth came in, it was the bottom tooth to the left of the center (May 3rd)

7 Months Old

Isabel was 7 months old on March 6, 2010.

She is a very happy baby, she still rarely cries.

She isn't sleeping through the night anymore.  She usually gets up once anywhere between 2:30 am and 5:30 am, but after a feeding she just goes right back to sleep.  She is napping very well during the day.  She takes two 1.5 to 2 hours naps during the day and 1 short 45 to 60 minute nap in the early evening.

Isabel loves to eat.  She has been eating solids for about 2 months now and likes just about everything I have given to her.

Isabel is very mobile and very fast!  She is not yet crawling, but she scoots very efficiently.  She can get up on her hands and knees and rock back and forth, but hasn't figured out how to crawl.

She hasn't been able to sit unattended, I think she is just too busy to sit still for long enough to learn how to.  From what I've read, babies usually learn to sit before learning to scoot or crawl.  It looks like she just skipped the sitting step and will pick it up later.

Our nicknames for her are: Belly, Bel Bel, Belly Button or just Button, Belly Bug, Belly Boo, Bel, and about every combination you can think of with those names.
